Call for Papers Issue 02/2024

Contributions and Editors Wanted

Hand in your article until the 28th of June 2024!

Heine Law Review is a student-led, English-language publication supported by many of our Faculty’s professors and postdoctoral researchers. We aim at opening up another international stage for Heinrich Heine University and for German legal analysis more generally. In addition, the Heine Law Review is supposed to serve as a platform for any of our Faculty’s students who wish to publish their own scientific research in the field, independently yet supported by a solid institutional framework.

The Review is currently accepting articles for the second issue. These may treat any question of German or European law, as long as they are at least 3,000 words in length (excluding footnotes). Articles may be original creations, with ideas being readily provided by our editors to any interested party that may lack them but eagerly wants to contribute. We also welcome existing term or seminar papers, provided that we also receive the grading or assessment. Contributors need not be students of Heinrich Heine University.

In any case, articles are to be submitted in English. They should also conform to our citation guidelines and other formalities which may be found here. Any article that is, in principle, accepted for publication is critically examined by our editors and afterwards scrutinized further by members of our Academic Advisory Council. Communication and constructive criticism is maintained during every stage of the procedure.

We are also still looking for new editors. As an editor at Heine Law Review, you will support the creation of an article from its submission up until the very point of its publication. In this fashion, you will get to know the process of academic publishing from the other side.

We are looking forward to your contributions, applications or impulses! Please submit all communications directly to our Board at vorstand@heinelawreview.de.

Citation Guidelines

Please make sure that your submission conforms to our citation guidelines as specifications of the Oxford University Standard for the Citation of Legal Authorities (OSCOLA).
